Bandai launched the One Piece Card Game in Japan in July 2022 and in English that December. Every deck is built around one Leader card, and the Leader's color shapes how you play.
I'm on red Zoro from the very first set. Aggro forever.

Purple Luffy, ramping DON!! cards. Watching the DON!! pile grow is my cardio.
Brand new here. Is a starter deck enough to play at a local tournament?
Yes! Play a starter deck for a few weeks before buying boosters. You'll learn which cards you actually want.
Do the cards use manga art or anime art?
Mostly original illustrations, but the big chase pulls are the "manga rare" parallels that use Oda's actual manga panels as the art.
Printing real manga panels as card art is such a good idea. It celebrates Oda's linework directly.
A manga rare is my white whale. Any of them. I'm not picky.
Update: I played my first local tournament with the Straw Hat Crew starter deck. Went 1–3 and had a great time.
@Mochi 1–3 at your first event is a win. Red Luffy is a great teacher.
Red Luffy aggro gang. Welcome.
